What accredited courses are being adopted by the investigation and compliance monitoring sector as relevant for their workplace??

faqAs part of the on going review of courses the Public Sector Education and  Training Authority (PSETA) identified and responded to a need for more comprehensive investigative training in the public sector.

This resulted in the development of the PSP41504 Certificate IV in Government Investigation and the PSP41404 Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance). These courses have become sought after formal qualifications in these sectors.

Who do you deliver training to??

What are your course materials and training standards based on and are they recognised amongst law enforcement and regulatory agencies??

All of ICETS courses are developed and maintained to the nationally recognised competency standards set by industry.  These standards are listed by National Training Information Service (NTIS) www.ntis.gov.au.  Our course material is benchmarked to Commonwealth standards and customised to meet the jurisdictional, legislative and operational requirements of client agencies.

Are you able to cater for clients who may only have a small number of staff that require investigation skills training??

Yes.  While ICETS specialises in delivering qualifications customised for large agencies, we also run generic courses.  These courses are based on a cross section of legislation and state based agency policy & procedures.  These focus on legislation and policy relevant to the state in which training is delivered and ensure its relevancy to the agency personnel attending the course.

What states do you deliver training in??

We are currently delivering training programs in QLD, NSW, W.A., NT, VIC, TAS, SA and ACT.

Can you assist in developing in-house training which targets a specific qualification area??

Yes.  ICETS has a package of workshops targeting specific areas such as interviewing skills, factual statements, personal risk management & safety, observation skills.

We can also create computer based training (CBT) for your agency which can be delivered by your own staff as an induction course or refresher course for personnel with specific responsibilities.

How do you ensure the investigation training programs you deliver are current??

Because you tell us!  ICETS works with client agencies to identify current best practice and the developed package is delivered by practitioners with current and relevant skills..

Do you cater for agencies which may wish to apply for government subsidies for training??

Financial incentives from the Australian Government may be available to your training staff.  ICETS through its partnership agencies can guide you through the process of determining whether you are eligible to apply for training subsidies under Australian Government Incentive Schemes.

Our staff have years of experience already in their role as an investigator. Do you recognise work experience and prior learning as part of the process of achieving formal qualifications??

Yes. ICETS can assess the existing skills of individuals for credit towards a formal qualification. This is part of our ongoing commitment to offering recognition of prior learning to clients in line with the Australian Quality Training Framework.
